PAS spiritual leader and former Kelantan Menteri Besar Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM) in Kota Bharu last night due to worsening health.

 

His son, Nik Mohamad Abduh, posted in his Facebook asking for people to pray for Nik Aziz's health.

 

The octogenarian's health has reportedly worsened since the Kelantan floods.

 

Nik Abduh ( right ) has promised more updates in due course on his father's health.

 
There had been fresh rumours regarding Nik Aziz's health since yesterday, to the extent that rumours of his death had to be refuted.
 
The 84-year-old holds the Chempaka state seat in Kelantan, a seat he had held since 1995.

He was also Kelantan MB for 23 years until he relinquished the post following the 13th general elections.

 
Nik Aziz has been spiritual leader of PAS since 1991.
