One person was killed and several injured in blast at a shopping mall in Western Australia today, a media report said.

An electricity transformer exploded in the Galleria centre in Morley in Perth, a police spokesperson said on Radio Fairfax.

Three people sustained serious burns and were taken to hospital, the report said.
