'Umno to stay in power, but PMs will come and go'

 

Tell the Truth : You are very optimistic, Umno backbencher Nur Jazlan Mohamed, but I believe BN‑Umno is cursed to failure by the next general election (GE) even with the help of the Election Commission (EC) to allegedly manipulate the GE.

 

Too many sins have been committed and the natural disasters and three airplanes going down are signs of the beginning of the downfall of BN‑Umno. Better you get out before you are also pulled down.

 

No BS Please : Yes, provided with a change of PM, there is a real change in policy and cabinet, not same old, same old. However before you follow Japan, get rid of corruption within first.

 

MingXiang : Ouch! That hurts. Nur Jazlan is no heavyweight but that shot on the solar plexus of Najib packed a wallop. Truth be told, his was not an unfair assessment of our current PM.

Well Thats Fantastic : Isn't this arrogant? We deserve better than PMs who are chosen out of succession or whatever strange formula Umno uses to choose. Governments should change freely and often, until it does what we have is not democracy.

Nur Jazlan disappointed by Najib's weak stand

Tell the Truth : Like you, Umno parliamentarian Nur Jazlan Mohamed, I was also disappointed but then we can see that there is no leadership in government anymore. Everyone can say anything and get away with it, whilst those who speak out against the government will invariably end up being investigated. This is a sick government.

 

Louis : Najib Abdul Razak is more a globe trotter than a PM! So far only Nur Jazlan can see the weakness in him. The rest of the BN members are mere zombies, What Najib says, they would respond, “Correct”.

 

Siang Malam : Hello, Nur Jazlan, what do you expect Najib to say when 92 Umno divisions have shown support to Ismail Sabri Yaakob?

 

Angel : Altantuya Shaariibuu’s death, Teoh Beng Hock’s death, Ahmad Sarbaini’s death. Lahad Datu intrusion, MH370, MH17 ,worst floods, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) fiasco are bad luck for the country. Remove the person or persons that caused the bad luck.

This change of heart may be out of respect or in apprehension of possible reaction to an uncalled for aspersion real or imagined.

 

I would hardly imagine that your editors would welcome or look forward to a visit by the boys from Klang for such impudence, especially if they bring their usual steel calling cards. This piece I believe is the third in your possible series on "Malaysians ‑ Towkays, Tuans, and Thambis" and I must say is the best so far.

 

However, I must add that that does not guarantee my not accompanying the Klang annans should they decide to come ‘a‑calling'.

Dr Suresh Kumar : Jay, that's because the opportunities are given to every individual equally without prejudice based on skin colour. It's not only in the US of A but also in countries like Australia.

 

My bro‑in‑law who dropped out of medical school went on to head one of the Westpac bank's departments and was also put in charge to oversee their overseas operations in a 'mat saleh's' land, because they recognised his talent, not his 'kulit'. Imagine an Indian Malaysian at the helm of a local bank in Malaysia, even if he is well‑qualified.

 

Fairnessforall : In Malaysia, the Tamils do not consider the Punjabis as Indians, they think they are the only Indians. Also I beg to differ that Punjabi men go for Filipino women. Most Punjabis stick to their own kind, although there are some who marry Chinese and Malay, but rarely even a Filipino.

 

I will agree though that most of the city Indian women prefer white men. But I have an Indian girlfriend who prefers Indians, but only the expatriate Indians. She says that local Indians are cheapskates and do not know how to treat and value a woman. Apparently, the Indian expats treat them well and value them.
