Two men who are neighbours were charged in the Magistrate’s Court in Kuala Lumpur today with injuring each other, using a sword and a spanner, three days ago.
Mohd Amin Mohd Ali, 54, an employee of Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTM) and Muhammad Saiful Abdul Wahab, 27, who is unemployed, pleaded not guilty when their respective charges were read before Magistrate Nur A’minahtul Mardiah Md Nor.
Mohd Amin allegedly injured Muhammad Saiful using a sword in front of Block D-3-11, Jalan Taman Intan Baiduri, Intan Baiduri Public Housing Project, Sentul in Kuala Lumpur, at about 1.30pm on Feb 8.
He was also charged with assaulting Muhammad Saiful’s brother, Shahiran Abdul Wahab, 31, using the same weapon on the same date and location.
Muhammad Saiful was charged with injuring Mohd Amin with an iron spanner, on the same date and location.
Earlier, deputy public prosecutor Noor Svetlana Mohd Noor Nordin offered bail of RM5,000 for each charge faced by Mohd Amin.
However, Mohd Amin, who was not represented by a counsel, pleaded for a lesser bail on the grounds he had to support two wives and three children.
Nur A’minahtul Mardiah allowed Mohd Amin bail at RM2,500 for each charge with one surety while Muhammaf Saiful, who was also unrepresented, was allowed bail at RM3,000 with one surety.
The court set March 20 for re-mention of both cases.
