The Negri Sembilan government plans to stop issuing family entertainment centre permits and licences to curb abuse.
Menteri Besar Mohamad Hasan said permits and licences that will expire will not be renewed.
He said it was found that premises registered as family entertainment centres did not run such a business, but turned into online gambling centres.
"I will bring this matter during the state action xommittee meeting and if approved, we will bring it to the state executive council (Exco) meeting.
"We will enforce it soon," he told reporters after chairing the state exco meeting at Wisma Negri in Seremban today.
Mohamad said the authorities, including the police and local authorities, will continue to monitor such unlawful activities.
