Sodomy II complainant Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan will not publicly repeat his testimony, including his in camera testimony on the sex act between him and Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim.

Saiful says this as case prosecutor Muhammad Shafee Abdullah ( left ) goes on a roadshow on the case, where he reveals in graphic details what Saiful had testified in camera during the trial.

"I stress that I will not repeat my testimony for the criminal proceedings outside of court or in any forum.

"I have testified in court and this has been recorded in the notes of the proceedings so there is no need for me to repeat it.

"The accused has already been found guilty and is serving his sentence," he said in a blog posting.

He said his main focus now is to make a living for his young family and to move forward with life.

"I have been burdened (bergelumang) with this case for seven years. Life has been difficult and challenging, before and even now after the case is over."

Self-interest

Saiful said that those who claim to care about the case only do so out of self or political interest, and not to defend him or justice.

"They have far from helped," he said.

"But nevermind, I will always pray that Allah will show them the truth and I bear no grudges."

An an Umno Youth forum in Kelana Jaya last week, lawyer Shafee went into details of "foreplay" between Anwar and Saiful in what critics now say is a contempt of court for revealing in camera testimony.

He spoke at another forum in Penang last Saturday, but media was not allowed to report on what was said at the event organised by a local NGO.

An Umno official told Malaysiakini that Umno-linked NGO Bona Fide Friends are organising more talks featuring Shafee but without Umno’s endorsement.

Yesterday, Umno information chief Ahmad Maslan said while Shafee may be telling the truth, the roadshow has nothing to do with Umno or the government.
