Prime Minister Mohd Najib Abdul Razak said the best formula that would satisfy everyone would be adopted to tackle the issue on accepting the two new parties - Parti Tenaga Rakyat Sarawak (Teras) and Parti Bersatu Sarawak (UPP) - as Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition members.

“I base this on the Sarawak BN situation because it concerns the problem of Sarawak BN components more, but we will contact the BN component parties on how to tackle the issue.

“What is important is to ensure the BN strength in winning the next state election.

“I know there are disputes within the BN component parties but we will tackle them amicably to satisfy everyone,” he said.

The prime minister disclosed this to reporters after the laying of the foundation stone Hospital Pakar Minor Sri Aman costing RM200 million today.

On his visit to Sarawak this time, the prime minister said it was more comprehensive because he was visiting more places and meeting more people from the various strata of society in the state.

In addition, he said, it could ensure that all the decisions and pledges made by the government could be implemented such as the new hospital in Sri Aman costing RM200 million.
