Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak usually prefers to keep mum over many things.

His critics always use his silence and lack of action as ammunition to fire at the country’s number one man.

But after pictures of a school without walls in Tuaran made rounds on Twitter, the prime minister wasted no time in ‘taking action’.

Najib, via his Twitter account, told the government’s chief secretary Ali Hamsa to investigate the matter.

“TS KSN @alihamsa55 please investigate and take action if this is true. This should not have happened” @sarocki19: #SchoolWithNoWall,” Najib tweeted.

In his reply an hour later, Ali said the issue was “being investigated and immediate action will be taken”.

Sekolah Kebangsaan Penimbawan in Tuaran, Sabah was apparently razed in an incident last year. Students now study in makeshift classrooms.

Several Twitter users had tagged Najib as well as Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Education Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and Deputy Education Minister Mary Yap to alert them of the matter.
