#Kitalawan has turned to YouTube to recruit protesters for their rally this Saturday in Kuala Lumpur against Anwar Ibrahim's incarceration.

Made using footage from the past three smaller rallies, the video also includes a scene with PKR Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad spreading word of the rally though his mobile phone.

The video was produced by PKR Youth communications director Johan Ariff, who told Malaysiakini that besides Youtube, the video is also being shared through Facebook and the WhatsApp messaging network.

Activist Adam Adli Abdul Halim, who is also featured in the video, lauded the effort.

"Creative media always attracts (the) younger generation to participate, but I am pretty sure it is not the video that will will bring people to the street, but awareness," he told Malaysiakini .

On Feb 21, Adam Adli and PKR supreme council member Fariz Musa were arrested for organising the rallies, which have taken place every Saturday since Anwar was jailed on Feb 10.

Nik Nazmi evaded arrest, but was caught by police later that night.

The main protest will take place on March 7 at Sogo to demand for Anwar's release.

The organisers also want Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to quit office, claiming he had failed in his duties.
