An Umno Youth exco member has criticised PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli for blocking critics from following him on Twitter , while the latter dared Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin to a public debate.

Umno Youth social media bureau head Ibdilillah Ishak ( left ) said Rafizi appears to be only interested in compliments and was unwilling to entertain constructive criticisms.

"Is this the type of quality we can expect from PKR's elected representatives?

"People are being stopped from voicing their oppinions," he added in a press release today.

He was responding to Rafizi's claim that Khairy was a "coward" for not responding to the former's challenge to a public debate.

Rafizi had challenged Khairy to a public debate after Umno Youth organised a public forum where the lead prosecutor in the Sodomy II trial Muhammad Shafee Abdullah gave explicit details of in camera proceedings.

Following this, Communications and Multimedia Minister Ahmad Shabery Cheek said he was willing to facilitate a televised debate between Shafee and his critics.

Rafizi and Khairy have sparred during public debates twice before in 2012.

Meanwhile, Ibdilillah said that he too wants to debate Rafizi although they don't share the same status.

Ibdilillah pointed out that Rafizi was not an MP in 2012 when he debated Khairy.

"Status is not an obstacle. Don't be a coward and accept my challenge," he said.
