Malaysia’s hybrid airline Malindo Air has launched a RM0 base fare promotion, valid for both domestic and international sectors in conjunction with its second anniversary which falls on March 22.
The zero base fares are applicable for destinations departing from KLIA2 including Bangkok, Bali, Bandung, Jakarta, Singapore, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching, it said in a statement in Kuala Lumpur today.
The promo is also applicable for domestic flights from Subang Airport to Penang, Langkawi, Kota Baharu, Johor Baru, Alor Setar, Kuala Terengganu and all other routes from major airports in the peninsula.
Under this promo, only airport tax and fees are chargeable.
The promotion is valid until March 22, 2015 for the travel period from now until Oct 22, 2015.
“We have come a long way from operating only two Boeing 737s for the Kota Kinabalu and Kuching sectors in March 2013, to a mixed fleet now of 19 aircraft, comprising Boeing 737 jets and ATR turboprop aircraft,” said chief executive officer Chandran Rama Muthy.
The airline launched three new sectors last month, namely, three times weekly flights between Ipoh and Kota Baru, four times weekly flights between Johor Baru and Kerteh and three times weekly flights to Vishakapatnam, India.
