Heavy rain for over an hour in the city yesterday caused flash flood and massive traffic congestion in Jalan Cheras near the Taman Billion roundabout, Cheras.

According to Kuala Lumpur Traffic Police operation room spokesperson, the flash flood began to inundate the area at 5.20pm and began to recede at 5.45pm.

“The traffic flow in both directions of Jalan Cheras is still moving slowly, but no accident was reported,” he told Bernama when contacted.

Meanwhile, the Kuala Lumpur City Hall Emergency Control Room spokesperson said all vehicles were allowed to resume their journey on the road at 6.15pm.
