Muhyiddin's elder brother dies of old age
Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin's elder brother Ustaz Abdul Rahman Yassin, 76, passed away at 7.45pm today at the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital (HPSF) in Muar, due to old age.
According to the late Abdul Rahman's second son Rashid, 47, his father was admitted to the HPSF yesterday for treatment.
Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin's elder brother Ustaz Abdul Rahman Yassin, 76, passed away at 7.45pm today at the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital (HPSF) in Muar, due to old age.
According to the late Abdul Rahman's second son Rashid, 47, his father was admitted to the HPSF yesterday for treatment.
"He was weak and coughing. Therefore we decided to send him to the hospital to seek treatment. He also had problems with his kidney and lungs," Rashid said when contacted today.
He said his father had served as the headmaster of Sekolah Rendah Agama (Arab) Saadiah in Muar before.
Abdul Rahman's body was brought home to his residence at Jalan Pesta 3, Taman Tun Dr Ismail 1, Bakri in Muar, Johor, and will be buried at the Batu 6 Muslim Cemetery in Bakri at 10am tomorrow.
"We (family members) were by his side when he passed away," said Rashid who is the second of six siblings.
Meanwhile, Pagoh Umno deputy chief Ismail Mohamed when contacted said Muhyiddin was expected to arrive tomorrow morning.
