YOURSAY ‘Not only they cheat inside (Malaysia), they dare to do so outside.’
BN fans finagle White House petition, get caught
Ferdtan: Differentiate the two statements from the White House.
“The pro-Anwar (Ibrahim) petition was eventually restored with all its signatures intact and has since exceeded 100,000.”
For the counter-petition, ‘Respecting the Sovereign Nation of Malaysia’, “some 60,000 signatures deemed fraudulent were removed, leaving it with only some 12,000 signatures left”.
Note that one very significant point; not one of the signatures for the petition initiated by the former United States ambassador to Malaysia John Malott was removed. We are 100 percent honest, unlike the BN supporters.
Commentable: It is both sad and disgusting to see that BN has always to resort to cheating to get its way.
Dishonesty, lack of principles and integrity is deeply ingrained into their culture that these BN supporters have no feelings of shame and remorse.
However, what is most telling in the wake of the Anwar sodomy case is BN's reaction as well as its "body language". If Anwar is genuinely guilty and there was no political motivation behind it, why does BN need to get so personal on everything?
Why start a counter-petition, and having to cheat, too? Why the roadshow? Why the jabs in Parliament?
BN has shown a lot of bad faith and malice by constantly running down Anwar and his family. And so far BN has done a good job - it has everyone convinced that Anwar is innocent.
Justice Fairness: This is the US Embassy's explanation on why they keep suspending and re-enabling the two petitions.
From White House/US Embassy: "On March 9, White House standard fraud checks indicated a high number of anomalous signatures on a petition related to the imprisonment of Anwar Ibrahim.
“There were multiple petitions related to this issue, and after follow-up assessment, The White House determined that the petition it removed was not the one that contained fraudulent signatures."
What a joke. You mean your fraud detection systems flagged and removed the wrong petition? Surely, those of us who have any IT knowledge cannot buy this story.
Your programmers should all be fired if your system checks one petition and then flag an entirely different petition created days apart for removal.
Only absolute morons with zero understanding of programming logic will believe your story.
Anonymous #59879079: Justice Fairness, this is what I think. The White House petition system flags any "unusual" activity and in this case the ‘Free Anwar’ petition recorded an unusual level of activity with a high number of signatures being recorded in a short span of time.
At the same time, the BN petition ‘Leave Malaysia alone" also recorded a high number of signatures. So the next step is to investigate and they suspended both petition(s).
On investigation, the Free Anwar petition signatures were found to be legitimate while many of ‘Leave Malaysia Alone petition’ signatures were found to be fraudulent.
The Free Anwar petition was "reinstated" while the bogus signatures in the ‘Leave Malaysia Alone’ petition removed.
Please remember that a computer programme can only do what it is instructed. And the system would have been tried and tested by the countless petitions in the past.
Idon'tlikekangkung: Justice Fairness, when you are caught with your pants down, and at that point you then realise that you had also forgotten to put your underwear on, it might be better to just slink away quietly.
But then you are part of that bunch that loves to talk about that part of the body all the time.
Fair Play: Wow, not only they cheat inside (Malaysia), they dare to do so outside and what more in the US, too.
From 100 percent (72,000 signatures in the anti-Anwar petition), it was slashed down to 16 percent (12,000). If this is not an embarrassment, what's it?
Discovery: We must be thankful to BN supporters for this cock-up. Typical of BN, even in cheating, they cheat without using their brains.
CQ Muar: Attempting to defraud the White House with fraudulent signatures, and expecting to get away with it?
How naive; they must be thinking it's as simple as influencing the Elections Commission during those general elections in the past.
Only this time the table is turned and the joke is on them. What a humiliation this must be to the world at large. Malaysia not always ‘boleh’.
