Thieves broke into the office of Lanang Member of Parliament Alice Lau Kiong Yieng and Dudong state assemblyperson Yap Hoi Leong of the DAP at Jalan Aman in Sibu last night.

The incident was noticed by a staff member who came to work at 8am today.

The thieves ransacked the office for valuables but only managed to steal an old desktop computer and a keyboard.

They had gained entry by prying opened the metal grill and the door of the office.

Sibu district police chief ACP Mohd Kamal Kordi, when contacted in Sibu today, confirmed he had received a report on the incident and instructed his men to investigate it.
