Hadi’s delusional over non-Muslim support

YOURSAY ‘Don't take non-Muslims for fools and day dream about their support.’

Hadi: PAS has a place in hearts of non-Muslims

Kim Quek: That Abdul Hadi Awang thinks that PAS is still in the good books of the non-Malays is conclusive evidence that he is not fit to lead PAS.

The supreme leader of a political party who fails to see the elephant in the room is certain to bring ruin to his party. Members of PAS must swallow this hard fact, regardless their affection for their leader.

Fortunately, PAS will have the opportunity to correct this fatal flaw in its leadership very soon in the imminent party election; so please make good use of it - save PAS and help all to fulfil the Malaysian dream.

Vijay47: Don't worry, Hadi, you do have a place in our hearts. Near the left ventricle which we reserve for traitors we view with contempt and a total absence of trust.

And please spare us the usual utter rubbish that non-Muslim Malaysians are biased against an Islamic party. For a brief moment we actually believed that PAS had reformed, that it was a party guided by honour and honesty.

How we were brought back to our senses, particularly about you personally, Hadi. While you seemed to be standing alongside DAP and PKR, behind everyone's back you were actually making your bed for Umno.

Do you think we believe your hudud promises or will forget your cunning ploys during the Selangor Mentri Besar crisis?

At a time, Pakatan Rakyat most needed to close ranks, you sent your two allies from pillar to post; while you did not succeed in grabbing the MB’s post, your betrayal prevented us from having the state leader of our choice.

Place in our hearts? Yeah, like the Eagles say, when hell freezes over.

Commentable: PAS is a great disappointment to the non-Muslims under the leadership of Hadi and the concerns expressed by Youth chief Suhaizan Kaiat is not without merit.

So long as Hadi remains at the helm of the Islamist party, it will continue to face criticism from the non-Muslim electorate, particularly the Chinese.

To say it is still "in the hearts" of non-Muslims appears to be a misplaced area of the anatomy. A more accurate description would be somewhere the middle finger of the hand.

Negarawan: "PAS still has a place in the hearts of the non-Muslim," said Hadi in a Facebook post.

PAS leadership had once clearly stated that it will "jentik" all non-Muslims if it comes into power. PAS, like Umno, wrongly uses Islam as a cover for its political ambitions, and is responsible for the rise of Islamic fundamentalism and extremism in the country.

PAS leadership had shown their support for the Islamic State (IS) by honouring a slain IS fighter who was a PAS member.

Putting the religious aspect aside, PAS administration of Kelantan (and previously Kedah) is a big failure with the state lagging far behind in economic development.

The Selangor MB episode proves that PAS cannot be trusted as a Pakatan partner. No non-Muslim in his right mind will support Pakatan as long as PAS is part of it.

Pakatan has to do a ‘hudud’ on PAS by chopping it off, or it is the end of Pakatan.

Multi Racial: Yes, what Hadi said was true but that was at GE13. But not after what Hadi has done to PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail in Selangor and PAS insistent of implementing hudud.

Luckily PAS still has people like Mohamad ‘Mat’ Sabu, Husam Musa, Khalid Samad, Nizar Jamaluddin and several others.

They are the real reason why the Chinese are still having hope on PAS. If these people lose in coming PAS election, then the party will lose Chinese support for good.

Jiminy Qrikert: Hadi is delusional. Non-Muslims have totally rejected PAS and GE14 will confirm this fact.

PAS minus the hardcore ulamas is still PAS. It is committed to converting Malaysia into an Islamic state. That is its reason for existence. Without this lofty, heavenly objective, PAS is just another racist party.

But with Islam as its driving force and Islamic state as its objective, it is now piously fighting for all Muslims regardless of race. Or so it seems. Until Hadi issues a May 13 threat against the Chinese.

Rakyat-in-Grief: Hadi, on what grounds you have come to this conclusion? Are you not aware of what is happening around you?

You are oblivious of reality and I don't blame you because you have learned only religion. If you are a man of integrity, you should vacate your seat for the right person.

As I have written a number of times that as long as you and other ulamas like you remain as policymakers in your party, PAS is a religious party and not a political party as far as non-Muslims are concerned.

So don't take non-Muslims for fools and day dream about their support. If PAS want to survive in the next GE, please hand over the rein to the moderates in your party.

Casey919: What is the difference between PAS and MCA? Both are formed about 60 years ago. Both have about one million members.

Both "make Chinese angry". Both are losing votes. Both will be deleted in GE14.
