Former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew remains critically ill at the Singapore General Hospital, the island republic’s Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said today.
Former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew remains critically ill at the Singapore General Hospital, the island republic’s Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said today.
Kuan Yew, 91, is at the intensive care unit of the hospital where he was admitted on Feb 5 for severe pneumonia, it said in a statement.
Meanwhile, prayers and well-wishes kept coming in from Singaporeans, especially via the social media, for Kuan Yew, who had transformed the city state into a world-class nation.
The PMO said in the statement that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who is the son of Kuan Yew, thanked the public for their support and good wishes.
