After hudud, PAS becomes hard of hearing

YOURSAY ‘If PAS is brave to implement hudud, why no guts to quit Pakatan?’

Just say you want PAS out, Nik Abduh tells DAP

Commentable: DAP is already saying it loud and clear - get out if PAS cannot get a grip on party leader Abdul Hadi Awang.

That's why DAP is prepared to cut ties with Hadi but not with the party. PAS as a whole cannot be faulted, as not everyone in PAS is behind Hadi.

DAP and PKR have made a stand, they do not support the hudud move. This leaves PAS out of the equation (or triangle) in Pakatan Rakyat.

Reason as well as logic dictates that if a party within the coalition does not toe the line, then that party ships out. It's not the other way (to expect DAP to quit).

Why did DAP single out Hadi? My personal take is that the other partners in Pakatan have resigned to the fact that Hadi is Umno’s Trojan horse. He did not attend Pakatan leadership meetings. He in fact veto some of the important decisions made at those meetings.

He has been dishonest, secretive and inconsistent to almost everyone outside of PAS (and even to some inside PAS). Hadi has treated DAP and PKR as not worthy partners. So how to "find a common ground" and solution?

The Analyser: "We will not leave Pakatan because we love Malaysia. We want to make Malaysia a new country with better politics and a stronger democracy," said PAS central committee member Nik Abduh Nik Aziz.

What a wonderful example of Islamospeak. A load of fluffy garbage to soften the minds of the Muslim drones before cutting off their hands and stoning them to death. All in the name of God, of course.

Myrights: Nik Abduh, there is nothing to talk since PAS has betrayed PKR, DAP and the voters. I voted for PAS because I fell for their ‘PAS for All’ slogan.

But after the Selangor MB fiasco and their adamant push to implement hudud, now I am convinced that PAS will talibanise Malaysia if they have a chance. So, never again will I vote for PAS unless their leaders are no longer from the ulama.

SRMan: From the start, it was a trap laid by Umno to lure PAS into the game. Confident that Umno, which first goaded it (PAS) to implement hudud law, would lend its support when the matter is tabled in Parliament, PAS or specifically Hadi Awang foolishly walked into it.

Now that the silent Umno president cum PM is delaying his stand on the issue, the biggest casualty is Pakatan. Whatever Umno's decision in the coming days, Pakatan is already badly bruised. Mission satisfactorily accomplished.

Anonymous_3e86: Indeed PM Najib Razak is purposely delaying making a stand on hudud. It has been a trap for PAS all along.

Everyone can see this whole ploy by Umno to destroy Pakatan except PAS politicians who, blinded by religion, are adamant on implementing hudud.

Pakatan may not break up after the end of this episode but the non-Malays have lost trust in PAS. PAS will not get the same support it had in GE13.

RCZ: What DAP has said is clear. Nik Abduh and PAS don't seem to understand this or are pretending not to hear.

Secondly, DAP is not fooling Malaysians in getting them to go against PAS. Please don't insult our intelligence. We reject PAS after having seen and weighed all its actions.

And another thing, no one said Hadi cannot be your president. You are welcome to continue to support your president.

DAP merely said they don't want to work with him. I think that’s very fair, seeing how dishonest Hadi has been. Hadi saw the chance to gain power in Selangor and he has miserably failed. Also, he has been found out to be a liar.

Caripasal: If PAS is brave enough to implement hudud, why no guts to quit Pakatan? DAP has requested for PAS to leave on numerous occasions.

PAS is afraid of losing votes if they were to make the first move to abandon Pakatan. What is the punishment in hudud for betraying your friend?

Hmmmmmmmm: I think everybody has made it clear that PAS under the leadership of Hadi is not wanted in Pakatan.

If PAS won't leave Pakatan, then DAP and PKR should set up a new alliance with the moderates from PAS.

On hindsight, it's a good thing that the Registrar of Society (ROS) did not allow Pakatan to be registered as an entity, otherwise this can get messy.

Anonymous#007: The rakyat know now PAS are made up of insincere religious people who are intent on staying in Pakatan - possibly in agreement with Umno given that they worked together on hudud - to destroy Pakatan.

DAP, PKR and most of the BN coalition parties have made their stand against hudud. And all the lies and deceit by PAS has been thrown open for the world to see.

DAP need not say anything anymore. PAS does not realise this - the patriotic rakyat of all races and religions do not support people who lie to achieve their selfish goals and betray their 'brothers'.

This is why the ulama should not be given absolute and/or political power. Take the case of Afghan woman Farkhunda . Her judge, jury and executioners/killers are Muslims and they believe in hudud.
