Kedah Umno Youth wants stern action to be taken against The Malaysian Insider ( TMI ) portal over its report which alleged that the Council of Rulers had rejected hudud law in Kelantan.

Its head Saiful Hazizy Zainol Abidin said the report by the portal linking the Council of Rulers to hudud law showed that The Malaysian Insider was now desperate.

“The royal institution is a symbol of national pride and should not be tarnished by irresponsible hands,” he told reporters outside the Kota Setar district police headquarters today.

He said stern action should be taken as a lesson to all parties including owners of opposition, pro-government or independent portals to not put up unconfirmed reports.
