Only PAS believes hudud survey done by SMS

YOURSAY ‘A survey by SMS? Owners of phones can be identified and traced.’

Kelantan says poll shows 90pct support hudud

Odysseus: Joint hudud technical committee member Azhar Abdullah needs to go back to school to learn Survey 101.

How can you ask such sensitive questions via SMS and expect the respondents to provide an unfavourable answer, especially with their identity known?

The result is obvious. If a respondent wants to say no, he'd better keep quiet.

Dalvik: SMS survey? How reliable is this survey compared to the one done by Merdeka Centre?

Just last month Merdeka Centre's poll shows 84 percent think the state government should concentrate on repairing and rebuilding homes of flood victims instead of hudud.

So now we have a totally opposite outcome of 90 percent in favour of hudud. Either one of these surveys must be wrong.

Wira: Indeed, the Merdeka Centre, in a much more scientific poll, showed that over 80 percent of Muslim respondents preferred that the state government give priority to flood restoration effort than hudud.

This PAS Kelantan government only listens to lies that favour their recklessness.

Gggg: Hudud is said to be a requirement of Islam and every Muslim should accept it. So, do you expect any other answers than a ‘yes’? What a meaningless survey.

Ong: What choice have the respondents got? They have been indoctrinated to believe that to be against hudud means to be against Allah.

Je Suis Malaysia: The mental process to answer Kelantan's poll probably went like this: hudud is Allah's law (but not mentioned in the Quran, but only in hadiths). So the poor ignorant fellows who are afraid of hell, would answer, "Yes, we want hudud."

Nil: A survey by SMS? Owners of phones can be identified and traced. Who would dare to say no?

Takung: Would be interesting to see more details of the survey's methodology and the breakdown of the results, for example how the different age groups or women and men responded.

Speak For All : Was there a survey done after the worst floods in Kelantan to see what the people had to say about by the PAS government in giving assistance to overcome the misery experienced by the people in the state?

When I was there, people were cursing the state government and not the federal government for not helping them.

To these PAS idiots, hudud means a great deal but in reality, it is all bull. Helping mankind today when needed is more important than implementing what was written 2,000 years ago.

SadMsian Perhaps we should let Kelantan take the lead in this. Once they succeed or fail terribly, then everyone will think again.

But what is the KPI (key performance indicator) of success and failure? Number of hands chop? Number of people praised by Allah? Number of rape victims?

I think there would be zero rape cases in Kelantan since they need four witnesses.

Opah: After Kelantan suffered the worst floods in memory, PAS' only answer is hudud. I would like to see them implement it in the only state that they control just to see these hypocrites and liars defeated in the next election.

RR : How genuine is this survey? If people are asked if chopping off hands, stoning to death, etc, are okay, they might reject it outright. But since the fear of God is placed on them, they have to say ‘yes’ to hudud.

They are probably also fearful of retaliation by the religious department if they said ‘no’. Kelantan should carry out a referendum.

YouAreNotAlone : Wow, this Kelantan hudud committee has such a good relationship with all the Kelantanese, they even have their mobile numbers.

More interesting is Kelantan is one of the poorest states in Malaysia and yet more than 90 percent of the people use mobile phones.

Tikusmati: If you tell your flock that they must not disagree with religious edicts, then I guess this survey is a waste of time.

Fair Play: When someone makes a claim or assertion about something, you can be sure it is a sign that the opposite is more likely to be the case.
