The bodies of two victims in the helicopter tragedy last Saturday have yet to be claimed.

According to a spokesperson of the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL), as of 6pm yesterday, the management had not received any reports of the presence of close family members of the victims for the process of identification and claiming of the bodies.

He said a representative of the Kyrgyzstan Embassy was present at the hospital morgue about 10.30am to assist in investigations of the second body, believed to be an operations assistant from that country.

“However, the management cannot provide any confirmation until the closest relative shows up, followed by the process of identifying the remains,” he said.

He added that a representative of the United States embassy who was present yesterday for the identification documentation process of American pilot Captain Clifford William Fournier had contacted his family.

Meanwhile, the American embassy, when contacted, refused to divulge any information on the arrival of the family members so as to protect their privacy.
