The mystery passenger from Kyrgyzstan, who was recently killed in the fatal helicopter crash in Semenyih on Saturday, had wanted to be a pilot.

 

Selangor Police Chief Abdul Samah Mat disclosed Aidana Baizieva had shown great interest in the aviation industry and wanted to become a pilot, he said in an mStar report today.

 

"Based on our investigations, she was an acquaintance of the (helicopter's) pilot (Clifford Fournier). According to the charter company, she had accompanied the pilot on several other flights," he added.

 

Abdul Samah also said the manager of Aidana's apartment claimed Fournier had visited her several times.

 

Police had also found tickets for the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition in both their names in Aidana's unit.

 

Aidana and Fournier are among six passengers who were killed in the helicopter crash.

 

The other four were Rompin MP Jamaluddin Jarjis, the prime minister's private secretary Azlin Alias, businessman Tan Huat Seang and Jamaluddin's bodyguard, Razakan Seran.

 

They group had earlier attended the wedding of Premier Najib Abdul Razak's daughter in Pekan, Pahang.

 

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

 

MStar also reported that the Kyrgyzstan Embassy is working to bring Aidana's father to Malaysia, to verify his daughter's remains and take her her home.
