DAP, PAS speak for MPs absent during Pota vote
DAP and PAS leaders have come to the defence of its 26 MPs who did not vote on the controversial Prevention of Terrorism Act (Pota) in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The Pota, which has a detention without trial provision strongly-opposed by Pakatan Rakyat, was passed 70 votes to 69 at 2.25am, prompting critics to slam the absent Pakatan MPs.
