Reports lodged, will IGP now probe Mahathir?
YOURSAY ‘This is a brilliant strategic move on the part of Chegubard.
Police reports lodged nationwide on Dr M
Diablo:
Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia (SAMM) coordinator Badrul Hisham Shahrin, if you think the police action against you is unfair, why do you want action against former prime minister Dr Mohamad Mahathir?
RKR: Badrul's strategy to checkmate the police will backfire on him. It’s an ill-conceived ploy. We should condemn IGP Khalid Abu Bakar for charging Badrul. That's the stand we should take.
Badrul is trying to say it’s wrong to charge him for what he did but right to charge Mahathir for the same thing. Isn't that twisted logic?
Fair Play: Look at it this way. If push comes to shove, the right-thinking rakyat would no doubt rally behind Mohamad. The big question is - what will the police do when they receive the reports?
Zen: Mahathir is a Tun and a statesman. You are not. Is that not a difference?
JBond: Zen, No one is above the law. The law, if fairly implemented, does not recognise honorifics in front of your name. If you are a murderer, you must be brought to justice even if you are the king, let alone the PM. You get the drift?
Ginie: Badrul, I think you are aiming your gun in the wrong direction. You should instead sue the IGP, the police and the Umno government for unjust, unprofessional conduct and also failure to perform or carry out their sworn duties to our Agong, people, country and the nation.
Take them to court and then we will see what happens next. As for your report on Mahathir, I think you will have to wait and wait. Best wishes to you.
Sam04: What an unbelievably childish place this nation has become. The most popular national sport and pastime seems to be making police reports about politicians. This never happens in mature and sensible countries. Grow up, all of you.
Dire Straits: I think this is a brilliant strategic move on the part of Chegubard. The main issue is to not let the gruesome murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu die a quiet death, as this minority-elected PM is hoping will happen.
The more s**t one stirs up on this matter, the longer the matter will remain under public attention and scrutiny. There will come a time when the issue will reach a breaking point and s**t will then hit the fan.
When that happens, we will then see all the sewage rodents scampering back into the holes they crawled out from.
Bringon14: As expected the Sedition Act will be used for Umno's own interests. All this is done to protect itself.
The more corrupt a regime becomes, the more laws they will enact to protect themselves until one day, they fall victim to their own rules. But until then, the rakyat suffer.
This is typical of humans. We create good things like dynamite to blast holes through mountains to create roads and passageways. Then we use the same thing to blast holes in people.
So many things that were created for the good of mankind have been used to cause suffering and pain.
Longjaafar: I'm more curious as to what the IGP will do now.
Resolve crisis with Dr M, Muhyiddin and veeps told
Slumdog: When Mahathir is questioning and hammering Najib left, right and centre for his immoral and corrupt behaviour, Cheras Umno division chief Syed Ali Alhabshee, can only think about brokering peace between Najib and Mahathir as a solution and asking others to show their support.
Syed Ali completely ignores the overwhelming disgust by the rakyat of Najib’s many instances of impropriety.
This is a display of blind and unfettered loyalty to a wayward prime minister. It is all about greed, short-term gains and kudos and not about the future and long term good of the country.
Multi Racial: Dr M raise two major issues - the murder of Altantuya and corruption involving 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
What exactly is this Syed Ali trying to resolve? Is he suggesting if the party’s deputy president and vice-presidents can bring peace between Dr M and Najib, then these two issues suddenly go away?
Regardless, these two issues must be pursued until the culprits are charge in court. Someone has to go to jail for these. Is it not the case of whether Dr M and Najib are on talking term.
Wira: Tun has already said he had been negotiating and discussing with intermediaries the past four years. He is already 89. He doesn't have many more four years for Najib to procrastinate.
Kangkung: With Mahathir, they want to 'resolve the crisis' but everyone else who raise the issue: charge them with sedition.
