Umno vice-president Mohd Shafie Apdal has urged Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to provide a detailed explanation on the issues raised by Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

This comes a day after Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin expressed support for the former prime minister.
