'Ignorance of world history breeds extremism'
Malaysia needs to counter religious extremism with better history education, said former treasury secretary-general Sheriff Mohd Kassim.
He said while many youths have been indoctrinated to believe that divine law and an Islamic caliphate would be better for Malaysia than a secular system, history has proven this to be wrong.
