NGO Pertubuhan Ummah Sejahtera Malaysia (PasMa) will campaign for PKR in the Permatang Pauh by-election.
Its president Phahrolrazi Zawawi said some 1,000 PasMa volunteers will be on the ground to campaign and explain on current issues, including hudud.
"We will explain any issue related to the people so they understand the need to support Pakatan, especially on the goods and services tax and the hudud issue," he said at a press conference at PasMa's volunteer centre in Permatang Pauh today.
The former Kedah PAS leader said the NGO also plans to hold ceramahs with other Pakatan leaders during the campaign period.
PasMa is an NGO offshoot of PAS, and aligned to the moderate faction within the Islamist party.
PAS' Permatang Pauh division had earlier refused to campaign for PKR over their refusal to back hudud.
PKR is fielding its president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail in the four-cornered fight ( above ) for the Permatang Pauh seat, with polling day scheduled for May 7.
