Bank Negara appoints new assistant governor
Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) today announced the appointment of Mohd Adhari Belal Din as assistant governor effective May 1, 2015.
In a statement today, BNM said as assistant governor, Mohd Adhari will be responsible for strategic management, human capital development centre, information technology services, and strategic human capital departments.
The central bank said Mohd Adhari will also continue as strategic human capital department director.
Prior to his appointment, Mohd Adhari served as director for strategic human capital department, strategic management, and risk management departments.
Before joining BNM, he served as managing consultant with the Hay Group.
Mohd Adhari holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Organisational Studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, United States.
BNM also announced that assistant governor Marzunisham Omar, who is in charge of the economics, monetary policy, international and statistical services departments, will be seconded to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as executive director for two years effective May 1, 2015.
Arising from the secondment, assistant governor Shaik Abdul Rasheed Abdul Ghaffour will cover this portfolio effective May 1, 2015.
