Doc: Correct me if I am wrong. Raja Bomoh aka Ibrahim Mat Zain is to be gazetted as a deviant by the Perak fatwa council but other bomohs are not considered deviant.

So why is Raja Bomoh singled out for persecution by the fatwa council? Is it because he made Malaysia a laughing stock when Malaysia Airlines’ MH370 went missing?

Then again collectively, the arm forces chief, transport minister, MAS officials and the PM are also equally guilty of doing the same.

Vijay47: Doc, the armed forces chief, transport minister, MAS officials and the PM are not deviants because the telescope they used was made of glass. In addition, they did not bounce coconuts, large ones at that, in tribute to any important wives.

Raja Bomoh, no doubt your skills are not limited to locating missing planes, animals, and individuals but also causing them to disappear. So perhaps you can do us all a favour and help make that (Perak mufti) Harussani (character vanish.

Anyway, I think the real reason for your classification as "deviant" is because of your antics with the two coconuts. Some may interpret it to be mocking the alleged First Lady of Malaysia.

Not Smart: Would Raja Bomoh be declared deviant if his prediction came out right? No, he would have been glorified and made an international personality.

We have so many sick people like him around and it takes another sick person to take action against him.

The authority concerned should take action against all such 'bomohs' and not just him alone. This man was only trying to help at that crucial moment (when the plane went missing) in the best way he knew.

Pemerhati: If a super intelligent being from another world were to land on earth and study the beliefs of both mufti Harussani Zakaria and bomoh Ibrahim Mat Zin, it will conclude that both of them have a set of slightly different beliefs and there is no objective and scientific yardstick that shows that one belief is correct and the other is wrong.

Hence it is very strange that Harussani wants action to be taken against Ibrahim.

Sabahan: Raja Bomoh is harmless and very entertaining. He has brought Malaysia to the attention of the whole world.

He brought laughter in these trying and difficult times. Doesn't that merit a Datukship at least?

SemoLina: I find Raja Bomoh rather funny but I wouldn't tangle with him because he dabbles in the occult and demons are said to be involved.

Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin got away easy when he was threatened with being slapped like a crocodile (whatever that means).

Raja Bomoh was allowed to do his mumbo jumbo in the lobby of the airport with all the foreign and local correspondents looking on. It tells you that even our leaders believe in such 'deviant' practices.

It is best for Harussani to play down his fatwa, lest he too gets slapped like a crocodile.

MinahBulat: After the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) incident , I recall Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Jamil Khir Baharom said that he will investigate him, but after that nothing happened.

At the same time, Jamil Khir also mentioned that ‘bomoh’ and ‘pawang’ are accepted practices and part of the Malay culture provided no deviant practices are adopted.

So is his practice deviant? How do you consider two coconuts and the bamboo telescope deviant? Compare that to women having to submit to their husbands even on the camel, that I think is more than deviant.

SSDhaliwal: How about Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein who can see clearly with a binocular although the lens cap is still attached?
