ROMPIN PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has called on the voters in Rompin to show their full support for PAS candidate Nazri Ahmad.

She said they should pick Nazri to defend them against the goods and services tax, and to fight for the right of Rompin's many Felda settlers.

"The voice of the people must be heard, the future of the settlers and the people must be protected.

"The people must choose between a candidate who must obey BN's wants, or a candidate who will defend them in the future," Wan Azizah said in a statement today,

Polling day in Rompin is tomorrow, and it will be a straight fight between Nazri ( right ) of PAS and BN's Hasan Ariffin.

The parliamentary seat fell vacant after Jamaluddin Jarjis died in a helicopter crash in April.

Wan Azizah is contesting the Permatang Pauh by-election, for which voting will be held on May 7.

Her support for Nazri comes despite 10,000 local PAS members allegedly deciding to boycott the Permatang Pauh by-election, due to PKR's refusal to support the implementation of hudud in Kelantan.
