PMTG PAUH Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) will do its best to ensure there will be no power outages during the Permatang Pauh by-election on Thursday, said Deputy Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Mahdzir Khalid.
“Whenever there is an election, TNB will station its officers at all polling centres and the vote tallying centre. They also have back up plans in case there is interruption in electricity supply,” he told reporters after launching a home rewiring programme in Kampung Penanti, Kubang Semang today.
He added that the utility company had taken all precautions necessary to prevent any outage but hoped there would be no sabotage during the voting and vote tallying process.
