Honda Malaysia is recalling 87,182 units of five models to replace the driver and passenger airbag inflators.

The models are the City manufactured in 2003-2008, Civic (2003-2008), CR-V (2002-2007), Jazz (2004-2006) and Stream (2004-2005).

Honda described the move as a precautionary update and did not affect the current selling models, while to date, there were no crashes or injuries related to the matter reported in Malaysia.

“The replacement works will be carried out once the new part is ready and the costs will be borne by Honda Malaysia,” it added.
