PAS youth chief Suhaizan Kaiat is raring for a debate with his challenger Nik Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz to compare their mission and vision to better serve the party.
“I have accepted the offer for discourse (debate) since the last election. So it should not be a problem,” he told Malaysiakini today.
He said the debate is important as the Islamic party's youth members would want to know the ideas of the number one leader for its main wing.
Suhaizan said he is willing to debate the Pasir Mas MP ( right ) anywhere in the country and not just in his home state of Johor.
Yesterday, Johor PAS youth offered to organise a debate between the two youth chief candidates.
Its vice chief Zul Hilmei Mohamad Rohani said they want both candidates to explain their views regarding national issues, especially those involving youths.
He said the event will alsoprovide the platform for the two to discuss their plans and ideas to disseminate “Islamic dakwah through politics.”
Malaysiakini has contacted Nik Abduh for his comment.
The election for PAS youth will be held at Shah Alam, Selangor, on Jun 2 and 3, in conjunction with the party's 61st Muktamar (general assembly).
