A Singaporean has died in Indonesia after trying to take a selfie on a cliff face and being swept off by a wave.
Mohamed Aslam Shahul, 21, was killed on Thursday when he fell two metres into the sea on Nusa Lembongan Island off the resort island of Bali, the Jakarta Post reported late yesterday.
“He could not control his balance when he was hit by a wave. He slipped and fell into the ocean. He apparently couldn’t swim,” said Nusa Penida Police chief Gede Arianta.
Locals recovered the man’s body and doctors declared him dead.
