PAS to become a provincial party, again

YOURSAY ‘What will happen if PAS rules this beloved country?’

Hadi crushes challenger, Mat Sabu trounced

Pemerhati: Most countries have a small minority of people with outlandish and crazy beliefs and ideas and they are known as the lunatic fringe.

For instance America has its KKK, Afghanistan and Pakistan have their Taliban and the Middle East countries have the Islamic State (IS). Both the Taliban and IS claim that their crazy, cruel and barbaric actions are in accordance with the Quran.

Malaysia is no exception - it has the ulama faction of PAS, which is hell-bent on introducing medieval and barbaric laws which chop off people’s limbs and stone them to death for various crimes.

Like the Taliban and IS, PAS also claim that the barbaric laws are in accordance with the Quran. The massive victory of the ulama faction in the elections indicates that in PAS, instead of a lunatic fringe, they have a lunatic majority.

It is thus impossible for any respectable and decent party to have any association with it. PKR and DAP thus have no choice but to sever all ties with PAS and avoid the party like the plague.

The Analyser: May we all thank Allah for this result in the PAS polls. PAS will now become an irrelevant source of religious fundamentalism hated by all. Until that glorious day when IS invade Malaysia, they will find out how irrelevant they truly are.

The power mongers of DAP/PKR will welcome their brethren with open arms and Pakatan Rakyat voters will abdicate in droves if they think PAS is in any way involved in the coalition. God truly does work in mysterious ways.

This result is also a timely warning of how much the Malays hate the DAP. The Chinese, and particularly DAP leader Lim Guan Eng, should take note, and try to work out the consequences of this result for DAP and its long-term ambitions.

Jiminy Qrikert: A complete rout of the progressives in PAS. So, it is now proven for all to see, especially the leadership of PKR and DAP that the so-called Erdogans are nothing but a mirage, just vapours rising from the heated political landscape in the past two GEs.

Now, the pretense is finally over. And we see before us this horde of self-righteous soldiers of Allah who will sweep all before them in Allah's name for His glory. Oktoberfest, Valentine's. Next Wesak, Christmas, Thaipusam.

Then, the massive deities crumble to the ground throughout this caliphate of Allah. Then, stoning, chopping of hands. Then the blossoming of militant Islam as Talibans, IS and a dozen other martyrs of Islam rise in the name of Allah to capture their own little corner of Allah's caliphate. And this will become a reality the day PAS takes over Putrajaya.

If DAP does not take the immediate next step to break all ties with PAS but chooses to mend ties with PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and his leadership team, then the slogan for me in GE14 is ‘A vote for DAP is a vote for PAS’. And I will never vote PAS.

Mantra888: My simple question is: what will happen if PAS rules this beloved country?

Possible scenario is non-Muslims will be like Rohingyas, scurrying to nearby shores in boats, submarines, flying MAS, AirAsia, Malindo to anywhere. No?

Jiminy Qrikert: Mantra888, since Umno imposed their ‘ketuanan Melayu’ policies, up to two million Chinese and 500,000 Indians have already left. In their places, three million Indonesians were given citizenship.

The bleeding has not stopped. In fact, over the last decade, it has increased. If PAS ever takes over, we will see a massive rush out of the country. Only this time, there will be significant numbers of Malays joining the Chinese and Indians to get out.

Left behind to be Islamists will be the newbie Indonesians, Bangladeshis, Moros and Rohingyas, who due to the hardships they faced will make far better, more vicious fighters.

LifeFlier: Now PKR, DAP and the rest of Pakatan coalition parties can safely pull themselves up by their own bootstrap, and escape the hudud quagmire created by Hadi. Bye-bye, PAS.

Hadi must be having too much ecstasy in pursuing his heavenly goals, and forgetting about earthly strategies. He has practically killed off his tactical decoy which has been used to beckon Anwar Ibrahim's supporters.

Hadi, you have made our choice easier at polling booth.

NewMalaysia: So it’s the end of story for Pakatan, now it’s time to move on and start a new chapter. Like Umno, PAS is beyond repair.

PAS was the result of members pulling out from Umno, but now PAS has become another Umno, so the progressive section of PAS should do the noble thing of pulling out from PAS to form a new party.

I'm sure DAP and PKR would welcome them with open arms. They could even form a new coalition. Let PAS join hand with Umno now so that the voters will have a clear choice who to support in next GE.

It’s indeed great news that everything is clear now.

Anonymous_1393313516: Congratulations Hadi. Your team is now made of ulama.

In the previous GE, I voted for a PAS candidate for the DUN (state seat) and MP in my constituency. I voted them not because they are PAS. I voted for Pakatan, not PAS. Next election, I will still vote for Pakatan. PAS, sayonara.

Cantabrigian: Pakatan will lose at least 25% of their seats in GE14 due to three-party contest in many seats, which will end up benefitting BN.

PAS has lost the plot - from being a national party for all, now becoming an exclusive party for some.

No more ‘PAS for all’, but ‘Reject PAS by all’
