Johor Umno leaders refused to comment on Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim bashing Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak over the latter's no show at the 'Nothing to Hide' dialogue last week.

"That is his (Tunku Ismail's) opinion," said Pulai Umno division chief Nur Jazlan Mohamed at a press conference.

"Sometimes, it's better not to say anything," said BN Backbencher Council chairman and Johor Baru MP Shahrir Abdul Samad.

In a Facebook post, the next-in-line to the Johor throne minced no words in taking to task the prime minister for evading the function at which ex-premier Dr Mahathir Mohamd later stole the thunder at.

"How can you have a dialogue called 'Nothing2Hide' featuring a person who has everything to hide?

"Obviously he won't show up," read Tunku Ismail's bilingual post on the Johor football team's Facebook page.

Tunku Ismail is Johor Football Association president and regularly posts his views on its Facebook page.

Najib was scheduled to attend the dialogue at the PWTC in Kuala Lumpur last Friday but withdrew at the eleventh hour because the police had cancelled the event due to security concerns.

Tunku Ismail's post also suggested that the prime minister could have lost the confidence of the people.

"For those who have been entrusted with the responsibility, do not blame the people for losing confidence and trust in you, but think of why they no longer have the confidence and trust in you," he said.
