Ranau shaken by mild earthquake
A mild earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale hit Ranau, Sabah, at 8.45pm today.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department, the epicentre of the earthquake was 41km northeast of Ranau.
Tremors were felt in Ranau and Beluran district, said the statement.
A magnitude 5.9 earthquake had hit Ranau on June 5 leaving 18 people dead, including foreign tourists, in what has been the worst ever earthquake disaster to hit Malaysia.
