Founder of Silat Lincah martial arts dies

Martial arts Mahaguru Omardin Mauju, 74, died at Tawakal Hospital today from kidney complications.
The founder of the Silat Lincah martial arts breathed his last at 3.20am, after 15 days of treatment at the hospital, said his son, Senator Megat Zulkarnain.
He said the remains would be brought to Kompleks Lincah for prayer and then buried at the Kampung Puah Muslim cemetery in Gombak after the Zohor prayers.
Omardin ( photo ) leaves a wife, Raja Azizah Raja Ahmad Shah, and two sons.
Omardin was the first recipient of the ‘Pendekar Malaysia’ award, which he received from Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak in July 2011 in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Pertubuhan Seni Silat Lincah Malaysia.
