YOURSAY ‘1MDB must prove that the facts were indeed twisted by Justo.’
'Justo's arrest proves 1MDB facts distorted'
Odin Tajué: Cheras Umno division chief Syed Ali Alhabshee, unfortunately for you, the others in that den of crooks, thieves, liars, philanderers and murderers, and the cybermorons polluting this portal with their puerile puke, there are people out here who happen to be at least a little bit more intelligent than you all.
Xavier Andre Justo was paid the equivalent of RM15 million to leave the company. First point. Why was so much paid to him if not to prevent him from spilling the beans?
Second point. If he has indeed attempted to blackmail his former employer for a sum equivalent to RM10 million, then the latter must have committed a very grave offence.
You cannot blackmail any party that is innocent. Anyone even with a modicum of intelligence can tell that he being arrested for attempted blackmail does in no way exonerate his former employer.
But one does not suppose that you would understand all this; it is simply beyond your ken.
Turvy: Not so fast, the exoneration. One allegation that is yet to be proven cannot clean the filth that has been revealed so far.
Not only that, even if the substance of what is alleged is proven in the trial, that may only have minimum impact on what is being said about 1MDB. A person may be guilty of blackmail, but that does not mean that facts used to make the demands are false.
In fact the particular offence stems from the revelations of facts that had happened. If they had not happened, how to make the demand?
Rather than grasping at straws, why not simply reveal all. Worse comes to worse, ask for a pardon. It is after all, the season for forgiveness.
Caripasal: Between a 'criminal' like Justo and 1MDB/Putrajaya, of course we believe in Justo.
PetroSaudi International (PSI) issued a statement alleging the tampering of information on the same day Justo was arrested.
Their 'eagerness' to clear 1MDB smells a rat. What is the degree of tampering?
Anonymous_1371458513: Syed Ali, can you check with your boss why he approved the payment of RM2.3 billion for a power plant worth only RM400million.
Genting confirmed making a profit of RM1.9 billion from the deal and donated RM190 million to other groups, one is a charity headed by PM Najib Razak, which in turn donated RM2 million to Chinese schools in Penang before GE13.
Can you explain what happen to the remaining RM188 million?
Jrd: The 1MDB scandal does not only involve PSI. There are many other 1MDB investments, both overseas and domestic, which are questionable.
To me, I just want to know why PSI monies refunded, which is supposed to be in cash, turned into ‘units’ and what kind of units are they? Furthermore, why pay more to acquire expiring IPPs?
Onyourtoes: Justo may have blackmailed for money, but which part of the leaked information is false?
For all I know, this could be an orchestrated arrest to exonerate the wrongdoings of those in 1MDB and Petrosaudi.
Anticonmen: Why should the emails be tampered with by Justo when he was a director of Petrosaudi?
What tampering of emails are they claiming now when the exposed emails regarding the US$700 million ‘hijack’ was never disputed by tycoon Jho Low and also by the 1MDB CEO as well as the finance minister cum PM?
Why was Sarawak Report not sued by 1MDB or Petrosaudi over their expose of the emails?
Lukesky: Just because they arrested this poor chap in Thailand doesn't suddenly absolve all the wrongdoing at 1MDB.
It is still to be proven if indeed the contents of the emails were in fact tampered with. And what about all the other corroborating evidence that has come to light since these emails were published?
Haveagreatday: Syed, if you know how to read, please click on this KiniBiz article .
But then you are not the type to admit facts as facts, are you?
Drngsc: Syed oh Syed, how can you jump to this conclusion? I know that you want to ‘angkat kaki’ Najib for your own gain.
The Thais will investigate and I am sure many other bodies will too. Let us see what is uncovered. You may have to eat your words, so make sure that your words are not too bitter for you to shallow back.
Swipenter: Now it is time for 1MDB to prove that the facts were indeed twisted by Justo.
Unless proven otherwise, nothing has changed. Remember a female journalist was once arrested for reporting facts under the ISA, ostensibly to ‘protect’ her.
