Malaysian police are still waiting for the latest information on the hideout of two Malaysians suspected to be behind the bombing at the Australian Embassy in Indonesia on Sept 9, who are believed to still be in Indonesia.

"It's not just the Indonesian police; we (the Malaysian police) want to capture them too," Inspector General of Police Mohd Bakri Omar told reporters in Kuala Lumpur today.

"This is our way of helping our Indonesian counterparts. We want Nordin and Zahari to be captured. We will be sharing any information we obtain," he told Bernama.

Arrest on Wednesday

Bakri was commenting on Wednesday's arrest of a man believed to be a Malaysian and one of the bombing suspects.

On Thursday, Indonesian Police Chief Jen Dai Bachtiar said a man who looked like Malaysian refugee, Nordin Mohamed Top, was arrested at an airport.

Another Malaysian, Azahari Husin, was also wanted for a series of terrorist acts in Indonesia.

Azahari and Nordin were among those suspected to be responsible for the Bali bombing on Oct 12, 2002 which claimed 202 lives, the bombing at the J W Marriott Hotel on Aug 5 last year, which killed 12 people and, most recently, the bombing outside the Australian Embassy early this month which killed nine people and injured 180.
