YOURSAY 'Azmin, perhaps you did not hear what the muktamar had decided.'

PAS support in the bag, MB to meet DAP next

Fair Play: Among the three partners, no doubt DAP is the smartest. No doubt, they don't want to be blamed for the downfall of the Pakatan Rakyat-led state government. So they will cooperate with PKR, at least until GE14, to keep the Selangor government intact.

Now GE14 is an entirely different matter and I doubt very much if they would ever work with PAS, so long as PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and his bunch of ulama control the party.

Fairnsquare: The DAP-PAS dispute should not impact Selangor as long as PAS and DAP assemblypersons support the leadership of Menteri Besar Azmin Ali in the state assembly.

Victor Johan: Of course, DAP is a team player and supports a powerful and formidable state government helmed by Azmin Ali, be it through Pakatan or perhaps the newer and stronger pact in Pakatan Rakyat 2.0.

The Umno folks are the ones who totally fear their own degraded representation of the rakyat, who are their constituents. Bravo to Azmin Ali.

Snake-In-The-Grass: You can be sure DAP will not stab you in the back. But sad to say, DAP cannot be sure that DAP itself will not be stabbed (time and again) once it turns its back.

Yoda: Azmin, you don't have to be grateful that the fiasco that PAS created last year made you the MB. Make a decision on who your long-term partner should be.

Spinnot: Parties that work with the current crop of PAS leaders will lose in urban and suburban constituencies. Are the parties in the dead Pakatan "more or less united" just for the sake of staying in power until GE14?

MinahBulat: Azmin, perhaps you did not hear what the muktamar had decided. Once ties with DAP have been severed, Pakatan is finished. You chose to follow Hadi's stand that Pakatan is still alive and kicking.

DAP is now waiting for the new party by the progressives led by Khalid Samad and Mat Sabu. When they form their new party, PAS will be sidelined and so will you. As far as DAP is concerned, PAS' ulama can go to hell.

Masu Otaku: I don't know about Azmin being PM material but he should have no problems getting DAP's support to stay on as MB.

Azmin should seriously think of doing more for Selangor residents, such as rethink the one-way loop project which is causing Petaling Jaya residents much grief.

Prudent: No, DAP, being in the same government with PAS will make you hostage to PAS' hudud bill which is pending in Parliament. Then Umno will likely pass the bill but refuse to gazette it so that DAP will be blamed for hudud.

This is one of the many negative scenarios DAP and the new opposition front (still in embryo) will face if DAP continues in the Selangor government with PAS.

Only if the PAS reps pull out from PAS can DAP and the new opposition front safely remain in the Selangor government with PKR.

PAS in the final analysis is the same as Umno. The constitution defines a Malay as a Muslim (the other two criteria are subjective). Both PAS and Umno are therefore exclusive Muslim/Malay parties and practise racism, PAS under the guise of religion.

Azmin holds the MB position only through PAS' consent. PAS is already in bed with Umno. So Azmin is PAS' man in the state government, and by extension Umno's.

Azmin also guaranteed the sultan the stability of the state government. The only way he can so brazenly guarantee it will be that he has a plan B should DAP refuse to support him on account of PAS, which is to form an Umno-PAS unity government with the support of a few PKR Adun from his faction.

So DAP, wake up please. Let Azmin have his unity government with PAS and Umno. It will expose clearly to the electorate where the lines are drawn and tie the hudud curse around the neck of Umno, PAS, Azmin and his PKR renegade supporters.

PKR has been bitten so many times by the same snake from the same hole, yet it still wants to be bitten again.

Samah: The principle must be that the big mandate from the rakyat in the last election was given to Pakatan within the common framework. Now that Pakatan is no more and the common framework in tatters, the responsible thing to do is to seek a new mandate.

Otherwise the 'high moral standards' of the opposition bloc preached by the likes of Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Kit Siang, Mat Sabu, etc, may not be much higher than that of the despicable BN politicians.

DAP and PKR have no choice but to call for snap elections in Selangor.

Anonymous #33227154: I think the right thing is a fresh election. As the reps are working for the people, they must ask for the people's consent to represent the people. Whether Pakatan will win or lose is all up to the people.

Myop101: Please dissolve the state assembly. We don't need another drama every other month.

Dont Just Talk: Pakatan might have ceased to exist and in the interest of Selangor residents, DAP should continue to support Azmin as Selangor mentri besar until the 14th general election, when a new alliance is formed without PAS.

We hope that a fresh state election is avoided to reflect the maturity of DAP and PAS leaders.

Hplooi: From now until the next GE, every sane person in Selangor should watch out for PAS' covert black-ops. By the next GE, it will be every man for himself.
