KINIBIZ AirAsia Bhd has filed a suit against Wee Choo Keong who is the owner of the weechookeong.com blog. The airline has accused Wee of “knowingly and intentionally publishing false and malicious statements defamatory to AirAsia Bhd, damaging AirAsia’s reputation”.

The airline made the announcement in a press statement issued today.

The airline has highlighted an article entitled ‘Why Liow & MAHB encouraged AirAsia to owe RM50 million PSC/Airport Tax?’ which was published on the blog on April 20, 2015 as the one containing the defamatory statements.

It added that ( photo ) Wee had failed to respond to an earlier letter sent by AirAsia’s solicitor demanding a retraction of that blog post and that AirAsia has now served Wee with a writ of summons.
