Azmin Ali’s dilemma - PAS or GHB

S'gor MB Azmin gives PAS vote of confidence
Anonymous_3f4b:
Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali has no choice but to be friendly to both DAP and PAS. The Selangor government consists of three equal parties in numbers. Both PAS and DAP have 15 state assemblypersons.
PKR has 13 but was given the MB’s post out of respect to then de factor Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim. It lost one when former MB Khalid Ibrahim was sacked from the party for dubious reasons. Azmin cannot afford to offend or take sides with either PAS or DAP.
To do so will sign a death knell for PKR. Both PAS and DAP have to be blamed for the fiasco in Selangor. Both were political opportunists using each other for cross-votes but knowing well ahead that it was only a temporary measure for short term political gains.
Likewise PKR took advantage of the superficial ad hoc symbiosis and clung to them for their own political survival. The only honorable way out for all three parties is to advise the sultan to dissolve the state assembly and go back to Selangorians for a fresh political mandate. Otherwise there will be no honour in them.
Fairnsquare: Azmin is taking the right approach. Till the formation of GBH, a vehicle for a crossover, he must not jump the gun, and disrupt the Selangor State Assembly. PAS will have to handle the issue, without any interference from the other components of Pakatan.
6th Generation Immigrant: The people in Malaysia are reading you with every statement you make ever since the Kajang move. You need to be seen as not self-centred, need to be committed to a cause and not remain neutral, need to be serving the people and not your own political goals.
You need to be smarter and better in coming across with ideas when compared to PAS, Umno and all BN component parties. Last but not least, you need to be a thorn in the country's issues and not like a lalang that sways.
In short things are not too rosy for you as you have still not broken the Anwar mould. Like your predecessor Khalid Ibrahim that you helped oust, the same can happen to you.
ATLANTIS: Azmin, don't let us hate you. PAS to us non-Malays is beyond redemption.
Surian: Azmin, DAP and part of PKR doesn't want PAS. Don't talk in denial syndrome - that exhibits your Umno dominated genes and voters will kick you out in GE14. You are selling out voters by giving vote of confidence to PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and his gang.
Perakian: PAS is not fighting for all Malaysians, so how does that work?
Anonymous #80765480: I hope you don't become a ‘barua’ (lackey) of PAS'. We’ll give you the benefit of doubt that hopefully you won't go overboard with the power of the game.
Just see what happened to the MB before you. Pakatan is already in limbo. Hope you're not the one who sends it to its grave.
Vent: Azmin, despite your dodginess, I was prepared to give you the benefit of the doubt but your 'confidence' in the mullahs of PAS is certainly misplaced at this point in time. But then you are no novice to the waiting game in politics are you? It has stood you well.
Hello: Azmin is just straddling two boats. He is protecting his position as MB and he needs to say things that are not offensive to PAS. The time will come when PKR has to decide one way or the other on PAS' position in Pakatan.
Single Malt: Is Azmin playing a double game?
KANCIL: Azmin, this is one issue you cannot avoid - PAS or progressive DAP. I cannot see any other way. Help create history or be disposed as a footnote of history.
Senior: No religion in politics. Secular all the way.
People of Selangor: Azmin, don’t just think of your MB position or your fear of the sultan of Selangor on this matter. You better choose either GHB or PAS - don’t play both sides. If you do, you won’t last long as MB.
Mah Kau Fan: PKR remains a party in limbo even after Anwar's latest incarceration. Still lacks belief in itself. No heart to bite the bullet.
Saphire: Azmin, choosing PAS surely brings doom to your state government. Selangor is a state with highly educated Muslims who vote with their brains. GHB is a more sensible choice for them.
PAS will not only cause you to lose Selangor, it will also lose Kelantan. History already shows PAS is not able to rule effectively. It lost Kedah after one term, due to the arrogance of PAS leaders.
It can't even maintain its hold on Terengganu, a Muslim majority state, what more in Selangor. My bet is; it will lose most of its seats in Selangor, come this GE.
RCZ: Azmin and PKR will have to eventually make a stand. Stone Age leaders who don't even know world politics, let alone how to govern themselves, or leaders who can steer this country and its people to fantastic heights? The rakyat will wait and watch. At the end of the day, democracy means the leaders are the ones the people want, and not what Azmin wants.
Hopeful123: Azmin, you were voted in by the rakyat. Not by Hadi. Remember that Hadi had scolded and insulted Anwar Ibrahim as reported in Malaysiakini . Azmin, you must be decisive and strong like DAP.
There are no two ways, and no ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’. Cut off all ties with PAS and welcome the new GHB with open arms. Otherwise you are finished.
Hank Marvin: Azmin, as PKR deputy, declined to support GHB but Rafizi Ramli, the secretary-general, has lent support. So which is which, PKR?
FutureMalaysians: I have no confidence on PKR now.
Pisasu 7: Azmin, we voted PAS, now we will never do so. So you watch what you say, bro. By the way, what are you doing for Anwar?
Orang Utan: Azmin needs to read the voters’ minds. Voters no longer support PAS. We are looking forward to GHB to progress. PAS is a thorn in the flesh, which will eventually make it a liability to Pakatan. The leaders in PKR must now make a choice and plan its next move. Or else you may lose support from the people.
WARRANT ADDICT: Be a smart mathematician, Azmin - time is running out. Take a calculated risk.
Speaking sense: Azmin should know that we cannot support a Pakatan that has Hadi and his gang in it. We want Anwar to lead a Malaysian government of all races and creeds, not an Islamist state, but Azmin's indecision will not help to bring this about.
Malaysia ku: Azmin has better stop the Umno-type game he is playing. PAS is toxic to Pakatan, thanks to Hadi and his ulama. They are only useful to the Selangor government and to Azmin until the next election. If he can't read the voters’ minds even now, he too will bring about the demise of Pakatan. Looks like only DAP is holding up its dignity and its responsibility to the coalition.
FutureMalaysians: Azmin, you have to be careful and fast in your decisions. Many of us are supporting GBH and DAP. PKR is going to feel sorry if you are too late.
