The Kuching Water Board (KWB) has postponed  water regulation in Kuching as scheduled tomorrow until further notice following last night’s rain in the catchment areas of Sungai Sarawak Kiri.

The water level had risen fairly, it said in a statement in Kuching today.

However, KWB advised its consumers to continue to use water sparingly and to avoid using water to wash vehicles, watering the lawns and filling pools and ponds.

Consumers are advised to visit KWB’s website at http://www.kwb. gov.my for the latest update and to contact KWB Call Centre for assistance at 082-222333 or text message at 019-8866650, Kuching Public Works Department (PWD)(082-203497/203498), Kota Samarahan PWD Office (082- 672800), Waterworks (082-672807/672851).

The statement added that the cloud seeding request was still in progress and KWB was monitoring the situation very closely.
