The desire to do the right thing has motivated Lester Melanyi to make a video confession on how documents related to 1MDB were purportedly fabricated to implicate Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

"And I'm going to do this because I know I'm doing the right thing," he claimed in the latest instalment of his video confession which was obtained by The Star .

Lester also accused whistleblower website Sarawak Report , which is in the epicentre of the 1MDB storm, of doing things that were "not right".

Therefore, he refused to be a part of it.

"I decided not to do this because I know all these things will affect the country very much and it’s not right for any human being to cheat and lie to gain something," he said.

The former Sarawak Tribune editor also disclosed that he usually contacted the London-based designer, who allegedly fabricated the documents, but did not know which programme he used to fake the information.

However, Lester cited two Sarawak Report articles - "How Jho Low Used PetroSaudi As 'A Front' To Siphon Billions Out Of 1MDB!" and "Riza and Jho Low face questions over bribery and tax evasion".

Describing them as "very good fiction", he said: "It would be a best seller if it can come out in a novel. All being created."

The video was released by Ramesh Rao Krishnan Naidu, a leader of a little known NGO, which has also filed a police report on the alleged fabrication.

Sarawak Report editor-in-chief Clare Rewcastle Brown has denied that Lester worked for the website and dismissed the allegation that documents on 1MDB were fabricated.
