DAP national publicity secretary, Tony Pua should quit the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) if he has dignity and is transparent said Penang Umno Liaison Committee chairperson Musa Sheikh Fadzir.
He said this to reporters after a Bukit Mertajam Umno Division Aidilfitri Feast in Bukit Mertajam, last night which was attended by 5,000 guests.
Musa said this was because PAC was investigating the issue of 1MDB documents.
He said Pua's admission on Wednesday on meeting Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown many times in Singapore, Indonesia and London had raised questions and doubts on his credibility as a panel member of PAC.
"We are talking about transparency, as far as I am concerned he should not be sitting on the PAC committee after having met the editor of Sarawak Report .
"If he sits in PAC how is he to investigate the matter, how is he to talk about transparency when he himself is not transparent,” argued Musa ( photo ).
He said as an experienced politician, the Petaling Jaya MP must withdraw from PAC then the people would respect him more as a leader.
On Wednesday, Pua, at a media conference, at the DAP headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, revealed that he had met Brown many times in Singapore, Indonesia and London.
However, Pua denied he had met PetroSaudi International former executive, Xavier Andre Justo and Sarawak Tribune former editor, Lester Melanyi.
