The Electric Run Malaysia 2015 has been postponed as the event date clashes with the recently announced Bersih 4 rally to be held on Aug 29.

The run's organiser, Livescape Group, said in a Facebook posting that the decision was made after consulting with the relevant authorities.

"We understand that this decision may cause inconvenience to some runners, specifically those travelling from overseas or other states to join us.

"However, we hope that you will understand that it was a decision that was not taken lightly and one that we had to make in the interest of your safety and security.

"The Livescape Group takes the safety and well-being of our patrons very seriously and it is a principle we will never compromise on even if it means potential financial losses from our end," it said.

The run, which was to take place on August 30, has been rescheduled to Sept  12.

For those who cannot participate on that day, Livescape said they can seek a refund by August 21 by contacting [email protected]

The organisers also said the collection for the race packs on Aug 22 to 23 at 1Utama will proceed as usual.
