Mr PM, all the 1MDB answers lie with you
YOURSAY ‘As premier, finance minister and chair of 1MDB, you can show us the truth.’
PM questions truth of articles in Sarawak Report
RCZ:
The only one who can answer the questions that the premier is asking, is himself. He is the chairman and head of 1MDB and the finance minister and prime minister.
He is privy to the thousands of emails and paper trails that are in the possession of the world authorities by now, and he can't run away from them. But he replies the questions to him with a question, instead of an answer.
APA INI?: You want us to believe those emails have been doctored - prove it to us. It's also in your interest so you can sue Sarawak Report and The Wall Street Journal . So far, you haven't told yet who exactly donated that money and how the money was spent. And, still, we will question why that donation can legally go into your personal account.
Quigonbond: Anything the premier questions at this juncture, is just self-serving. He should keep quiet and reinstate the 1MDB task force and do whatever needs to be done to get the 1MDB public accounts committee (PAC) moving again in Parliament, and let them clear his name for him.
I can't believe his PR guys are doing such a disastrous job. They are digging more holes in trying to cover up existing ones.
Kangkung 1M: Don’t ask questions. Answer the questions from us, and sue The Wall Street Journal if they are reporting lies. Why is it that till now, you have not initiated an action against them for defamation?
Anonymous$&@?: If not true, sue The Wall Street Journal , and show us the original emails. Anything short of that, you are guilty.
Restless: Instead of proving Sarawak Report’s allegations with facts and figures, you conveniently rebut by questioning the veracity of the emails. Just be careful that Sarawak Report does not have more evidence of mismanagement of 1MDB up its sleeves. You will have to nullify all the lies so far with more lies.
Like the way you are now caught pants down with the latest allegation that only a small fraction of "donation" was used for political funding.
TheAnonymous: You are the only person who has the answers and you ask about the authenticity of the emails?
Anonymous #23456263: Why didn't he allow the probes to continue to prove his innocence? Why sack the deputy prime minister and the attorney general? Why didn't he sue The Wall Street Journal or Sarawak Report for defamation? Can he prove that 1MDB’s assets add up to RM42 billion to show he has been wrongly accused?
Justice Pao: Still spinning that the emails are tampered with, yet is unwilling to sue Sarawak Report if the claims are false. Any sane person would immediately try to clear his or her name if what was published was not true.
Angelababy: Just rebut Sarawak Report with credible proof in the form of documents, not just talk and issue denials. Once it’s shown to be false, the rest is history. So now tell us what happened to the balance of the money upon closing your accounts?
Or is it 'mind your own business' again?
Guna Otak: Najib, please tell us which emails are false? Then we will wait for replies from Sarawak Report . If you can't, then I have to assume what Sarawak Report said about 1MDB is true.
It writes reports with facts. I have not seen your "strategic communication director" a.k.a. spokesman challenge any reports from Sarawak Report . I see only spin and more spin.
Gaji Buta: Why is he asking questions when he should be answering?
GE14NOW!: The problem with this administration is that it is completely devoid of any credibility with those of us who have even the smallest modicum of critical thinking. We have seen scandal after ever growing scandal in successive Umno-led governments.
And now we witness the mother of all scandals from the extant administration. When your credibility is at a zero, anything that you tell us will be discounted completely. And to make it worse, you have really stupid ministers who spout absolute nonsense each time they speak.
Anonymous:_1391693662: You should be ashamed of yourself Mr PM. All the evidence is in your possession. 1MDB and you can easily verify these so called doctored emails with the originals, which is in your possession. Even a six-year-old boy can tell you this.
Anonymous_1371458513: It is very easy for the PM to prove whether Sarawak Report is authentic or not, just ask his banker to publish the movements of his account from the day the money went in and out before it was closed.
Hytan: Any person of good standing and undoubted creditability would have immediately sued the Sarawak Report for slander and defamation if their reports are not true. Why keep on repeating that the emails are doctored and not true? The Sarawak Report has even challenged you to do so but why have you not sued?
Anonymous_1421806811: Najib, as usual, blames everybody else except himself. He expects us to believe him, his ministers and his controlled media. He wants us to believe he has no role to play in the management of 1MDB.
He wants us to believe he and Jho Low are not involved in 1MDB. He wants us to believe the RM2.6 billion is a donation. He wants us to believe that he used all the RM2.6 billion for BN purposes. He wants us to believe he stalled the PAC because…?
He wants us to believe he wrecked the joint task force to investigate the RM2.6B because…? He wants us to believe he reshuffled the cabinet because…? Yes, Najib we believe you because you are a saint and are free from all faults.
ResIpsa: No use beating around the bush. Just come clean and show where the money came from, how it was utilised and where the remainder went instead of screaming that documents were doctored, tampered etc.
You don't want to make matters worse by stifling investigations. If you were charged by the former AG, what's wrong with that? If clean, the court would have cleared you.
It is the prerogative of the former AG to prefer charges at any time when he is satisfied with the quality of the evidence he possesses to sustain a conviction beyond reasonable doubt. There is no necessity to wait until the full probe over all transactions is completed.
Upon securing a conviction the AG may even decide to drop charges on the remaining offenses. It is believed that the former AG wanted to quickly proceed with the initial charges for fear of interference if he waited for the full probe to be completed. His bad luck the matter got leaked. Abdul Gani Patail please come out and confirm the above.
Az: I thought you had confirmed the truth of the report and the emails by saying the money was a donation deposited into your account. So why this question now?
Anonymous #19098644: Up to today with thousands of emails, they have not even shown one that has been tampered with, or is a fake. The PAS ulama head said that no one can be so stupid to have RM2.6 billion paid into his personal account.
Well the whole world now knows of someone who did. Now the Umno people all want to know what happened to the billions that you transferred out to Singapore after the GE13.
Speechless: If the Sarawak Report articles are not true, the PM should sue it. 1MDB should also specify which emails were doctored and which bits were doctored.
But the RM2.6 billion question remains: what happened to the money?
