Another two Malaysians killed in Bangkok blast

The Foreign Affairs Ministry confirms the death of another two Malaysians in the bombing incident in Bangkok yesterday, bringing the number of Malaysian casualties to four so far.

According to the ministry's statement, the bodies of the two victims, Lee Tze Siang and his daughter Lee Jing Xuan are currently placed in the police general hospital and Chulalongkorn Bangkok hospital for post mortem.

Another Malaysian, Neoh Hock Guan was reported to have suffered injuries and received treatment at the police general hospital.

"The number of Malaysians injured have increased to three at present," said the statement.

Wisma Putra earlier confirmed two Malaysians, Lim Saw Gek and her son Neoh Jai Jun were killed in the bomb blast while the two injured Malaysians are Tan Rui Hun and Tan Kim Siok.

The statement said an emergency operation room in Bangkok is now open and can be reached at the numbers +662-6296800 and +6687 028 4659 from 8am until 8pm on weekdays.

On weekends, it can be reached via +662-629 6800 and +6687 028 4659 from 9am until 5pm or +6687 028 4659 after 5pm.

Over 100 people are reported injured in the incident near the Erawan temple in Bangkok's Ratchaprasong district at 7pm local time last night.
