The fate of PAS leaders and members believed to be involved in Gerakan Harapan Baru (GHB), its splinter group, will be decided at a meeting of the party on Sept 11.

PAS vice-president Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah said all the party’s state liaison committees had been asked to submit reports on this matter at the coming meeting.

“The PAS central body will see whether there are strong evidence or no evidence for action to be taken,” he told reporters after a state executive council meeting at Kota Darul Naim Complex in Kota Baru today.

Mohd Amar said four actions could be taken against members who betrayed the party, namely issuing show-cause letter, giving warning, suspending party membership and sacking.
